Racer Back Dress

Cannot say enough good things about this! I’m 5’8”, size 3 and it hits me in the right spots in all the right places. Fabric is stretchy but structured to give it a really nice polished look. I love how the fabric lays through my lower back and hips- the way the fabric moves with the cut is just perfect for big butts and big tummies. It’s the perfect foundation piece especially for Copper Union pieces! It’s really fun with a duster or a maxi skirt. Would also look great under a jacket or blazer for a more office/formal setting. I would likely buy this in any new color or print- I can easily see this being my new go-to dress for everything. Please make more color ways :)

When I saw this dress on the CU Insta, it was an immediate purchase. I cannot resist a black dress, particularly one I know will be incredibly well made (because all of CU's stuff is!).

I went back and forth on sizing because I'm not large in the chest, but I do have a prominent, round belly and wider hips. Typically I'm a 3 in Torrid tops and a 24 in bottoms, depending on cut/stretch/etc. I ultimately decided to go with a Size 4 in this dress to give myself the room in the skirt I prefer and it was the right choice!

The dress fits **perfectly**. I could see it being a bit compressive in the chest if you're larger through there, but it doesn't feel restrictive in my opinion. For the smaller chested folks like me, it's honestly a 10/10. No gaps under the arms or excess fabric around the straps. It lays beautifully. The cotton is thicker with amazing movement, doesn't feel super clingy, and is breathable without feeling flimsy in the slightest. Also, perfect length (I'm 5'6" and it hits right on the bottom edge of my knees)

This is for sure my new favorite dress in the sea of black dresses I own. Don't sleep on this! Buy it!
